According to Boston College Geologist Noah P. Snyder, this technology is great revolution as it provides excellent mapping for those who uses maps. Airborne laser elevation surveys showed 10 times improvement in the exactness of the features measured. This technique is kept in latest use for improving digital topographical maps known as digital elevation models. The whole unit of airborne laser elevation (Lidar) is mounted beneath the plane and a pulsating laser is released by that device which hits rocks, soil and even water and sends signals back to the device carrying information about each and every detail. A group of rays released creates a dynamic topographical snap and we can measure features like water surface, bank edges, flood plains and even slope of streams.
Even we can get information about vegetation that covers a particular watershed, such as the height and density of tree canopy through this approach. Every minute detail can be enhanced to great rate which can be used to read every feature of stream or river compare to field work over the entire length of streams. This approach lets geologists and other earth researchers to digitally search large paths for specific feature of interest like habitat and steep section of streams.
DEM technology even led to great revolution in early 1990s where it was excessively used in determining relationship between hillside to the response of rivers and even climate change. Though, this method has some bounds as it revealed problems in profiling relatively smooth landscapes. Traditional DEM provides one measure of elevation for every ten square meters of ground whereas; Lidar technique offers one measure of elevation value for each square meter as per the reporting of Noah P. Snyder. Use of Lidar technique is increasing gradually as all modern government and private sectors are increasingly using the technology for better map generation abilities. The state of Connecticut and Pennsylvania has made its mapping through the Lidar.

Hence, whether plays an important role in this. I have two dish equipped on my terrace as I got two different connections and both of them goes down once the rain reaches to some finite level. Even if your country or location is not fond of rains, bad whether like extreme snowfall, cyclone may easily affect the connectivity. So, it’s useless to you if you are living in such area where there stays bad whether for longer duration.
4). Speed Priority: The other important issue, Speed. With new technology emerging the markets, they compete with each other in this factor, speed. This is one feature which makes the internet service providers unique and by far popular. If you have internet, then speed is must because there should not be any buffering process if you hook on any entertaining videos or movies. More importantly, if the ISP is giving you good speed then is its quality good? This is also a one of the important factor. With satellite internet, downloading/uploading speed is not quiet good compare to other broadband services as you get around 5 mbps in satellite case and 15+ mbps in cable and DSL case. So, if you are satisfied with 5 mbps and you don’t have any other feasibility, you can surely move on Satellite internet services. If you plan to pass your time on other media like conference using VPN and VOIP services, gaming, movies download, video streaming then switch to cable or DSL internet as its best for your needs.
5). Budget: Last but not the least is the budget factor. How much are you willing to spend on this type of internet services? Satellite Internet will give you freedom from other physical infrastructures, but for this flexibility they cost a lot of bucks compare to other normal broadband services.
